welcoming matteo

i had the pleasure of meeting matteo, who is a pretty mellow roaster, and his big sis alicia, who within five minutes of me being there had dug up her princess camera to show me. it was pretty funny and said things like, “you look beautiful!” might be nice to keep around for a confidence boost every now and then. i’m just sayin.

oh frannie

we meet again and once again you knock it out of the park. can’t believe you are almost one already. i think you might be happiest in a constant state of bouncing so thanks for holding still just long enough to get these- here are a few of my faves. btw, the laugh that goes with the last pic is just what you’re imagining.

drew and lily

so i may be a little biased but these two really are pretty great. and just for the record i didn’t ask lily to lean on drew for any of these- that’s just where she wants to be- and he lets her which is pretty sweet in my book. they were even in the middle of an epic road trip w/ nana and papa and they still liked each other! man, that’s good stuff. the one in the grass is from a pretty hilarious series of them tickling each other.

i got my lucas fix

i was out in minneapolis over the weekend for my nephew’s wedding and i got the chance to meet lucas (who i think, if you keep track of that sort of thing, makes me a great aunt). he is a super cute, happy and all around easy going baby. i’d like to give a shout out to drew and lily for entertaining lucas for pics-you guys really gave it your all- he just happened to be feeling sort of serious that day. now that lucas and his family are back in chicago he’s probably wondering where his fan club went.

another day at the beach

how lucky am i that i get to hang out at the beach for my job? i’m not complaining- especially when it’s with a couple of cuties like alice and henry. how about that red hair, eh? i have a soft spots for redheads. it was so nice out this particular day that it was sort of hard to leave. i think alice’s look says it the best in the pic where she’s holding her dad’s finger- you mean we’re only going to spend an hour at the beach??

happy birthday charlie

got to hang out at charlie’s birthday party yesterday but today is his actual birthday. i can’t believe he’s one already. seems like just yesterday we were stuffing him into that tub. luckily for him he still has the undying affection of his sister. it still looks a lot like this. lucky boy.

pops

so it’s been awhile now but i got to hang out w/ my dad on father’s day. we went on a (short) train ride, had lunch at the snoqualmie brewery (yum) and strolled through fall city- including a pretty cool old school hardware store (my dad’s happy place). i like these shots of his hands- he’s laughing because he’s trying to figure out what i’m doing. and how could you walk by that mural and not take a photo?
