huxley turns 5

first they went on a nature walk back behind the mercer slough visitor’s center. (overheard on the walk “hey, maybe we’ll see a whale” -you’ve gotta love wishful thinking.) then it was inside for cake and presents. it is so cute to see how excited the other kids get to see the birthday boy open their present. it seemed like a good time was had by all.

introducing jahlil

this little guy was exactly one week old when we took these. he definitely has some serious baby chub potential. word on the street is that he’s not missing any lunches (or snacks).

saturday at magnuson park

it’s kind of like devon and sydney have a brother now w/ oliver around. he is so cute and fuzzy he kind of reminds me of a mix between an ewok and a teddy bear. he is a total sweetie and he kept us on our toes while trying to get these shots out at magnuson. let’s just say the canadian geese were not sad to see him leave.

emma and mia

i have been photographing these two cuties since emma, the oldest, was in diapers. now she’s six! where does the time go??

i *heart* chub

it’s no secret i love a chubby baby and evan had plenty of it. he was so full of energy at the beginning he could hardly sit still- he has definitely got the commando crawl down. i think he may have done his first tummy to sitting maneuver during the sitting also.

hayden and emerson

got to meet lovely miss hayden and her big sis emerson last weekend. emmie was kind enough to let us use her room for most of the sitting. hayden gave us a run for our money in the beginning but came through with flying colors in the end.

miss kate and miss ella

these two were such cutie patooties. they had the whole clan there (including great grandma!) and they were up for all of it. i especially love this series of them walking down the street in their hood.

can you believe

that this was Henry in May…

and this is Henry now?

when he grows up

trey was cracking me up- my guess is that he does that wherever he goes. he was shy for about half a minute and then he was on. at some point he was doing the car wash behind me. i’m thinking he might have a future as a comedian.

it’s a test

these two were not afraid to get dirty- not to mention wet and muddy. as it should be i suppose- they were not about to let a damp seattle morning keep them out of trees or piles of leaves. who knows, maybe it’ll end up being a good test of my photoshop skills.
